Abiola Adebayo (they/them)

Abiola (they/them) is a neurodivergent, queer, Nigerian immigrant with a strong background in science, human services, and social justice. They hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pyschology with a minor in Neuroscience, and are currently pursuing a Master’s in Social Work. Their professional experience includes work in advocacy, navigating local resources, de-escalation, and crisis intervention, where they bring compassion, skill, and resilience to individuals and families in urgent need.

As a disabled person with a disabled child, Abiola’s advocacy is deeply personal. They bring both lived and professional expertise to their role as a Resource Researcher for the Disability Alliance of North Dakota. Drawing on their academic trainings, experiences navigating resources while working with the 211 helpline, and their commitment to equity, Abiola works to identify and organize resources that support disabled communities statewide.

Outside of their professional work, Abiola enjoys solitude, watching movies—especially horror films—working out, spending time with friends and family. Abiola’s dedication to both family and community reflects their belief that knowledge, connection, and joy are all essential to the fight for accessibility and dignity.
