Annora (Nora) Ruth (she/her)
Nora is passionate about making the world more accessible. She has been featured on local news in Fargo, speaking about accessibility, and has served as accessibility chair at two conventions, including drafting the full accessibility policy for one of them. She also volunteers her time as an administrator in multiple disability-related online communities.
With over a decade of experience in autistic advocacy, Nora brings both personal insight and public presence to her work. She runs a TikTok account where she shares how her disabilities impact her life, and in college, she trained to be an advocate for disabled children, with plans to become a children’s hospital chaplain before her health created barriers to that path.
Nora is multiply disabled. She is autistic with ADHD, and has a genetic condition called neurofibromatosis type 1, which contributes to her low vision and other disabilities. She also lives with multiple psychiatric disabilities. Because of her disabilities, she frequently encounters access barriers— making events and spaces sometimes impossible to participate in. These experiences fuel her commitment to building a world where no one is excluded due to inaccessibility.
Outside of advocacy, Nora enjoys documentaries, reading, taekwondo, video games, and drawing. She is also on a mission to find the best iced chai and iced macha in the Fargo-Moorhead area, while regularly volunteering at That’s The Dream Farm. Her TikTok is @unbreakablesquirrel
